NEW DELHI: Silver prices gained Rs 74 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 27,937 per kg in futures trading today on fresh buying by traders and pick up in demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for September contract gained Rs 74 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 27,937 per kg, with an open interest of 212 lots. The metal for delivery in May too traded higher by Rs 53, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 27,612 per kg, with a business volume of 13,302 lots. Market analysts said, fresh buying by traders supported by pick up in demand in the spot market helped silver prices to trade higher.
