AP: Gold prices rise on the safety trade

SAFE GOLD: Gold rose Wednesday as investors sought safe places to park money as the Greek debt crisis continues to unfold. The dollar rose against the euro.
OTHER METALS FALL: Silver, platinum and palladium all fell more than 1 percent. The rising dollar makes dollar-priced commodities more expensive to foreign buyers.

OIL DROPS, TOO: Oil also fell because of the stronger dollar and a new report showing more reserves last week than anticipated. Crude fell $2.77 to settle just below $80 a barrel.
