BG: Oil, Gas, Soft Commodities on the March

As goes the market bounce, so go commodities.

With the Dow up 420 points at 10,800, futures contracts for June on light sweet crude oil are up $1.55 at $76.66.

Bloomberg’s Anna Stablum reports copper rose the most in six weeks, with futures for July delivery up 9 cents, or 3%, at $3.2345 per lb. Other metals futures, including nickel, rebounded as well.

Bloomberg also notes Corn futures for July rose 2 cents, or half a percent, to $3.74 a bushel, while soybean futures for July rose 2.5 cents to $9.625 per bushel.

Natural gas is up 16 cents at $4.18 per million cubic feet.

Gold futures, however, are down $8.20 for the June contract, at $1,201.80 per ounce.
