BS: Euro falls vs dollar as concerns continue

The 16-nation euro is down again against the U.S. dollar as concerns about the strength of the European economy continued to plague the common currency.

The euro dropped to $1.2632 in morning European trading Wednesday from $1.2694 the night before in New York. The British pound is down to $1.4899 from $1.4959 the night before while the dollar is down to 92.60 Japanese yen from 92.77 yen in New York.

The euro has been under pressure recently over concerns that Greece's financial woes will spill over into the rest of the eurozone.

The currency surged to $1.31 on Monday following the weekend's news of the euro750 billion loan deal for heavily-indebted countries using the euro but has not been able to sustain the recovery.
