CM: Oil Stocks Higher at Open, Follows Gains for Brent, Nymex Crude
Oil and gas stocks broke higher at the open, building on yesterday's gains and following the lead of Brent and Nymex crude oil price to the upside Thursday.
Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ.TO) was pacing the early jump, adding 1.00, or 2.7%, to reach 37.66. Other gainers included Cenovus Energy CVE.TO, up 0.55 to 29.65, Enbridge (ENB.TO), up 0.84 to 48.78, and Nexen (NXY.TO), up 0.21 to 23.27.
Enerplus Resources Fund (ERF-UN.TO) was one exception to the morning trend, falling 0.6%, or 0.12, to 23.12.
