LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares pared gains on Friday, as losses for banks offset gains for oil producers ahead of a key U.S. monthly jobs report. Lenders declining included Santander (ES:SAN 7.72, -0.29, -3.64%) , down 1.6%, and BBVA (ES:BBVA 7.85, -0.41, -4.96%) , down 2.5%. The French CAC-40 index traded flat at 3,558.15, the U.K. FTSE 100 index rose 0.1% to 5,217.58 and the German DAX index rose 0.4% to 6,080.29. |
