Forex Pros – U.S. consumer spending rose at a faster pace than forecast in May from a month earlier, official data showed on Monday. In a report, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said spending rose 0.2% during the month, after zero growth in April. Economists had expected growth of 0.1% in May. Following the release of the data, the U.S. dollar was up against the euro, with EUR/USD shedding 0.23% to reach 1.2341.
