MW: Dollar holds gains after spending, income data

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The dollar held gains versus the euro (CUR_EURUSD 1.2335, -0.0038, -0.3072%) and the Japanese yen [c_jpy] on Monday after the U.S. Commerce Department said real spending rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.3% in May after a flat April, while real after-tax income rose 0.5% in May after an upwardly revised 0.6% rise in April. The dollar remained up 0.1% versus the Japanese currency at 89.29 yen, while the euro was down 0.3% versus the greenback to $1.2333.
