LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Oil futures gained on Tuesday, as the weakening U.S. dollar and rising global equities boosted sentiment in the energy markets. Crude oil for August rose 96 cents to $73.10 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex. Traders in the U.S. are returning to work after a long holiday weekend. They are awaiting the Institute for Supply Management's U.S. non-manufacturing gauge for June, due for release at 10 a.m. Eastern.
