TOKYO, Jul. 12, 2010 (Xinhua News Agency) -- The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 88 yen range Monday in Tokyo.
At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar bought 88.84-87 yen, against 88.60-70 yen in New York and 88.45-47 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.
The euro traded at 1.2576-2579 dollars and 111.75-79 yen against 1.2634-2644 dollars and 111.95-112.05 yen in New York and 1.2692-2693 dollars and 112.26-30 yen in Tokyo late Friday.
The U.S. dollar briefly traded above the 89 yen line for the first time in about two weeks Monday.
