The Senate hopeful's fundraising tour through New York began with a high-dollar event at the Harvard Club hosted by some of the fiscal conservatives who are part of the "Monday Meeting" group, and closed out the evening with a low-dollar event with some of his supporters at Webster Hall, a club near Union Square.
The later event was said to have been organized by the group "Liberty Lovers," and involved Facebook invitations, according to a source who got the solicitation.
Tomorrow morning, Paul will be back on the high-dollar circuit at an event hosted by Charles "Trip" Dorkey III, according to sources familiar with the event.
As for his Harvard Club event, an attendee said about 50 people gathered at the closed-press affair (with the exception of Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund), where Paul spoke primarily about fiscal issues and the health care reform bill.
