NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Shares of natural gas and oil producers rose on Tuesday. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 964.76, +13.11, +1.38%) rose 1.5% to 966. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 513.59, +5.34, +1.05%) rose 1.1% to 514. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 176.97, -0.52, -0.29%) rose 0.3% to 178. Chevron (CVX 72.77, +0.92, +1.28%) rose 1.3% to $72.80.
