BS: Base metals firmed up further on global cues
 
Base metals firmed up further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to persistent stockists and industrial buying on the back of bullish trend in the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Nickel hardened further by Rs 15 per kilo to Rs 1,070 from overnight's closing level of Rs 1,055 and tin strengthened by Rs 12 per kilo to Rs 972 as against Rs 960 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar rose by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 371, Rs 366 and Rs 399.

Copper utensils scrap, copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap and zinc all moved up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 339, Rs 357, Rs 256 and Rs 112, respectively.

Copper armiture and aluminium utensils scrap both inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 359 and Rs 89.
