Silver prices rose by Rs 129, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 29,271 per kg in futures trading today on rising demand in the spot market in view of festive season.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, silver for September-month rose by Rs 129, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 29,271 per kg, with an open interest of 19,099 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December moved up by Rs 128, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 29,375 per kg, with a turnover of 1,826 lots.
Market experts said rising demand in spot market in view of festive season amid firming global trend pushed up the silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver traded higher by 0.60 per cent to $18.48 an ounce in Asian region.
