RTTN: NZ Dollar Slides To New Multi-day Lows Against Most Majors
(RTTNews) - During early New York trading on Thursday, the New Zealanddollar extended its previous session's downtrend against the currencies of the U.S., Europe and Japan.
The kiwi slumped to a 16-day low of 1.8196 against the euro around 8:40 am ET and the pair moved sideways thereafter. On the downside, the NZ dollar may find support around the 1.8250 level. The euro-kiwi pair that closed yesterday's deals at 1.7924 is presently quoted at 1.8169.
The New Zealand dollar slipped to a 6-day low of 62.32 against the yen and 0.7253 against the US dollar at this time and this may be compared to yesterday's closing quotes of 63.43 and 0.7351, respectively. If the kiwi weakens further, support levels are likely to be seen at 0.72 against the greenback and 61.70 versus the yen.
