SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures turned modestly lower on Wednesday, after edging higher at the open and in early floor trading. Gold for December delivery, the most-active contract, lost $1.50, or 0.1%, to $1,194.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Stocks, oil, and the dollar are also trading lower.
