GB: Gas exploration cos lead TASE higher
 
Makhteshim Agan fell ahead of Wednesday's financials, while Perrigo rose on the assumption that it will report good results on Thursday.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.50% to 1,164.96 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.39% to 1,074.35 points, but the Tel-Tech Index fell 0.60% to 227.72 points. Turnover was NIS 1.72 billion.
After a weak start, the TASE rose today, with the exception of technology stocks. Futures on Wall Street pointed to gains at the opening, which materialized.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar shekel bonds fell by up to 0.1%, and long-term Galil CPI-linked bonds ranged between losses of 0.1% and gains of 0.1%. The corporate bond benchmark index Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.17%.
In the foreign currency market, the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate rose 0.37% to NIS 3.775/$, and the shekel-euro representative exchange rate rose 0.30% to NIS 4.98/€.
In the stock market, Tamar partners led the Tel Aviv 25 Index up, with Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) rising 4.3%, and its partners, Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) subsidiaries Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rising 2.4% and 2.7%, respectively. Yesterday, these shares were among the biggest losers on the index.
Delek's Leviathan partner Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L) had the biggest turnover for the fifth consecutive session, rising 3.7% on a turnover of NIS 136 million.
Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. (TASE: MAIN) fell 2.6%, after rising 3.8% yesterday, ahead of the publication of its second quarter financials on Wednesday.
Perrigo Company (Nasdaq:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 0.6%, ahead of the publication of its fourth fiscal quarter and full-year financials on Thursday. IBI Investment House Ltd. predicts that the company's financials will be good and will conclude a great year. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) was unchanged after Psagot Investment House Ltd. cut its target price for the share.
Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.1% in lively trading, on reports that Supervisor of Banks Rony Hizkiyahu is leaning toward allowing financial institutions to increase their holdings in banks.
Delek Real Estate Ltd. (TASE: DLKR) rose another 2.5% to complete a three-day gain of 26.9%.
In the life sciences, Ilex Medical Ltd. (TASE:ILX) fell 0.1% after announcing that it will set aside up to NIS 200 million for acquisitions, and Biocancell Therapeutics Ltd. (TASE:BICL) fell 1.2% after attaching a going concern warning to its financials and announcing that it was considering a Nasdaq offering.
Spacecom Satellite Communications Ltd. (TASE:SCC) fell 6.1% after announcing that fuel on its interim Amos 5i communications satellite will run out before the Amos 5 satellite is launched.
