RTTN: Canadian Dollar Tumbles To New Multi-month Low Against Yen
(RTTNews) - The Canadian dollar edged sharply lower against its major rivals on Wednesday morning in New York after the government report showed that the nation's trade deficit widened unexpectedly.
The Canadian dollar tumbled to a new multi-month low of 81.47 against the yen and new multi-week lows of 1.0431 against the US dollar before moving sideways around 8:45 am ET.
The Canadian dollar also reversed its previous session's uptrend versus the common unit of Europe in early New York trading, slipping to as low as 1.3571 before holding steady around 8:40 am ET.
