(Holland, MI - WHTC News) - After a couple of weeks of gains, gas prices along the Lakeshore slipped back to below what it was before the current uptick, as fears of another economic slowdown worldwide have pushed down crude oil futures, which are reflected in what motorists are paying at the pump. Polling conducted this morning in and around Holland had a per-gallon average of $2.71, which is 11 cents less than what was seen last Friday. The range of rates didn’t fluctuate too wildly beyond the mean. Daily surveying by Triple A had marks of $2.77 nationally and $2.81 across Michigan, declines of a penny and three cents, respectively, over the past seven days.
