LONDON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Gold priced in euros rose nearly 1 percent in Europe on Friday to its highest since July 2 as the single currency fell to its lowest in a month versus the dollar.
The euro slid after ECB governing council member Axel Weber said it made sense for unlimited ECB liquidity measures to be extended past year-end. [FRX/]
