BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures were lower Friday morning as U.S. stocks were poised to open in the red with no major economic data on tap. Gold for December delivery lost 0.7% on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. SPDR Gold Shares (GLD 119.92, -0.47, -0.39%) , a $50 billion exchange-traded fund, slipped 0.5% in premarket trade.
