MW; Wheat futures gain after Russia extends export ban

By MarketWatch
FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade added to gains Friday, a day after Russia extended its ban on wheat exports until late 2011. December wheat futures were up 8.75 cents a bushel at $7.2250 in recent trade. December wheat hit a contract high above $8 a bushel last month after Russia announced an initial ban on exports in response to a devastating drought. December wheat gained 5 cents Thursday in the wake of the extended ban. News reports said the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization has called a special meeting to address concerns about global grain-supply concerns.
