MSN: Base metals firm up on higher industrial demand
Mumbai, Sep 15 (PTI) Most of the base metals prices ended firm at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to rising demand from industrial users coupled with stockists buying.
Meanwhile, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar moved down owing to reduced demand from consumer industries.
Tin strengthened by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,235 from Tuesday''s closing level of Rs 1,225 and nickel rose by Rs 5 per kilo to to Rs 1,135, as against Rs 1,130 previously.
Aluminium utensils scrap gained by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 94 from Rs 90 yesterday.
Brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 258 and copper sheets cutting edged up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 363.
Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and brass sheets cutting inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 378, Rs 350 and Rs 266, respectively.
However, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both slipped by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 385 and Rs 413.
