SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Australian shares edged higher in early trading on Thursday, with the S&SP/ASX 200 index up 0.1% at 4,667.60. Companies helping the advance included department store operator Myer Holding Ltd. (AU:MYR 3.92, -0.01, -0.25%) , up 1% after reporting fiscal-year results, and National Australia Bank (AU:NAB 25.78, -0.16, -0.62%) (NAUBF 21.85, +1.00, +4.80%) , up 1.2%. |
