SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The Canadian market was up slightly Thursday morning with mining stocks some of the best performers and financial stocks some of the worst. The S&P/TSX Composite Index (CA:$ISPTX 12,140, -4.36, -0.04%) rose 12 points, or 0.1%, to 12,157. The S&P/TSX Capped Materials Index (CA:TTMT 384.37, +5.77, +1.52%) was up 1.6%, and the S&P/TSX Capped Financials Index (CA:TTFS 176.82, -1.50, -0.84%) declined 0.7%. |
