NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose Wednesday ahead of weekly supply data from the Energy Information Administration. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,017, +8.56, +0.85%) rose 0.4% to 1,013. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 517.42, +4.36, +0.85%) moved up by 0.6% to 516. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 190.33, +0.49, +0.26%) rose 0.7% to 192. Nabors Industries (NBR 18.65, +0.50, +2.76%) rose 2.5% $18.62, a day after it drew an upgrade from Goldman Sachs. Crude oil prices rose 1.2% to $75.88, setting the stage for gains in the energy sector.
