NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks fell with the broad equities market on Thursday, after disappointing weekly jobless data. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 989.72, -11.02, -1.10%) fell 1.2% to 989. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 509.09, -3.89, -0.76%) dropped 0.8% to 509. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 189.56, -0.77, -0.40%) fell 1.3% to 187. Shares of Anadarko Petroleum (APC 54.18, -0.81, -1.47%) dropped 1.7%.
