MW: Oil futures slide ahead of U.S. supply reports

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Oil prices declined Tuesday as investors waited on inventory data later in the session and the following, with both reports expected to show a rise in supply. "Surveys also suggest that U.S. Energy Department data tomorrow will show a rise in gasoline stockpiles," said analysts at Action Economics. Crude futures for November delivery fell 62 cents, or 0.8%, to $75.90 a barrel in electronic trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
