RTRS; U.S. copper rises further after jobs data hit dollar
NEW YORK Oct 8 (Reuters) - U.S. copper futures recouped early losses and shot above $3.70 per lb Friday morning as the dollar slipped on weaker-than-expected U.S. payrolls data for September.
Copper for December delivery HGZ0 on the COMEX metals division of the New York Mercantile Exchange traded climbed as high 5.05 cents to hit an early high at $3.73 per lb, up from around the $3.68 level before the release of the report. (Reporting by Chris Kelly; Editing by John Picinich)
