RTRS: U.S. crude futures turn positive on gasoline rise
NEW YORK Oct 8 (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil futures prices turned positive on Friday, following stronger RBOB gasoline futures that were lifted by strong ethanol prices after a U.S. government report forecast lower-than-expected corn yields.
U.S. equities futures turned positive ahead of the opening on Wall Street, which was also supportive for crude oil futures.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, November crude CLX0 rose 8 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $81.75 a barrel at 9:29 a.m. EDT (1329 GMT), trading from $80.30 to $81.95. (Reporting by Robert Gibbons)
