RTTN: NZ Dollar Jumps To Nearly 1-year High Against US Dollar
(RTTNews) - The New Zealand dollar edged higher against its major counterparts on Wednesday morning in New York. By 10:00 am ET, the New Zealand dollar touched around 0.7630 against the US dollar for the first time since October 20, 2009. The kiwi-buck pair is presently worth 0.7609 and a move above the 0.7630 resistance could set its strongest mark in more than two years.
Against the euro, the New Zealand dollar advanced to a 19-day high of 1.8271 and the next likely target for the domestic unit is seen at 1.8170.
The kiwi also climbed to a 6-day high of 62.44 against the yen and 1.2982 against the Australian dollar at this time. If the NZ dollar gains further, likely resistance levels are seen at 1.2950 against the aussie and 62.70 against the yen.
