BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- The PowerShares DB US Dollar Bullish Fund (UUP 22.17, -0.04, -0.18%) , an exchange-traded fund tracking the dollar's movement against a basket of foreign currencies, was down 0.4% in premarket after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in a speech released Friday morning said there appears to be a case for further Fed action to stimulate the economy. Meanwhile, precious-metals ETFs turned positive in the wake of Bernanke's comments as SPDR Gold Shares (GLD 134.29, -0.46, -0.34%) and iShares Silver Trust (SLV 23.90, -0.13, -0.53%) were up fractionally in Friday's premarket action. In stocks, the PowerShares QQQ (QQQQ 50.99, +0.57, +1.13%) , an ETF tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index, added over 1% on volume of more than 2 million shares, according to FactSet Research.
