TOKYO (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. dollar fell to a fresh 15-year low against the Japanese currency in late Asian trading Monday, with its all-time record low less than a yen away. The greenback fell to ¥80.63 according to data from Factset Research, pushing closer to the record of ¥79.75 set in April 1995. The weekend meeting of the Group of 20 nations' finance ministers and central bankers failed to come up with any concrete steps to address dollar weakness, which some strategists say clears the way for further yen gains.
