RTRS: Dollar trims gains vs euro after U.S. GDP data
Oct 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar trimmed gains versus the euro and extended declines against the yen on Friday after the release of U.S. third-quarter economic growth data.
Gross domestic product expanded at a 2.0 percent annual rate as expected in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said. For details see [ID:nN28207235].
The euro EUR= rose as high as $1.3891 after the data, compared with $1.3856 earlier. It was last down 0.3 percent at $1.3883.
The dollar fell to 80.66 yen JPY=, down 0.5 percent on the day, from 80.78 yen before the data. (Editing by James Dalgleish)
