(RTTNews) - The New Zealand dollar continued to creep higher against its major rivals on Wednesday morning in New York, hitting nearly a 7-week high of 62.87 against the yen and a 6-week high of 1.8066 versus the euro around 8:30 am ET.
On the upside, the NZ dollar may find target levels at 63.0 against the Japanese currency and 1.7940 versus the common unit of the 16-nation bloc.
The New Zealand dollar also strengthened against the U.S. and Australian dollars at this time, hitting a fresh 2-year high of 0.7773 against the former and was testing yesterday's high of 1.2863 versus the latter.
The next upside target levels for the NZ dollar is likely to be seen at 1.2820 against the Australian dollar and 0.79 versus the greenback.
