RTRS: Asia-Pacific Crude-Supported by firm gas oil

SINGAPORE Nov 12 (Reuters) - Firm gas oil cracks supported distillate-rich crude in the Asia-Pacific market on Friday, with attention still focused on Russian grades trading at their widest premiums this year.

Sakhalin Energy was heard to have sold several January-loading Vityaz cargoes to refiners in northeast Asia at premiums as high as $4.30 a barrel to Dubai quotes, although this could not be confirmed.

That would be their highest in at least a year, after Sakhalin last month sold Vityaz at premium of about $3.80 to Dubai, traders said at the time.

Strength in Middle East grades also boosted interest for Russian supplies, traders said, with both light Abu Dhabi Murban and heavy Qatari al Shaheen for January sold at much wider differentials than a month earlier.

* TENDERS

- Pertamina was heard to have for a second time this week cancelled its tender to buy January-arrival sweet crude, although this could not be confirmed.

* MARKET NEWS

- Global oil demand will accelerate for the rest of the year on rising consumption in developed industrial economies but the resurgence was likely to be transient, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its monthly report. [ID:nWLA7870]

- The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries was raising production fast enough to meet growing demand and reducing compliance to the group's target for output cuts, the IEA said on Friday.

Richard Jones, deputy executive director of the agency, said he did not see a tight market and global oil prices CLc1 LCOc1, now hovering near $86 a barrel, may decline and keep within a $75 and $85 range. [ID:nSGE6AB0CB]

* CRACK SPREADS

- The December fuel oil crack dipped 2 cents to a discount of $7.10 a tonne on lower crude prices.

- The December gas oil crack lost 34 cents to a premium of $14.41 a barrel in early trade.

*OUTRIGHT PRICES

- December ICE Brent LCOc1 fell to $87.08 a barrel at 0830 GMT, down $2.44 from the same time a day earlier. [O/R]
