Nov. 12, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China's crude oil output climbed 8.8% year on year to 17.76 million metric tons or 4.2 million barrels per day in October this year, according to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first ten months of this year, the country produced 168.06 million metric tons of crude oil, 6.1% more than in the same period of last year.
China's crude oil imports dropped to 16.39 million metric tons in October, 15% less than the 19.34 million metric tons recorded in October 2009 and 29.63% less than in September, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
Last month, China's natural gas output climbed 9.6% year on year to 7.88 billion cubic meters, bringing its total output for the first ten months of this year to 77.5 billion cubic meters, 11.9% more than in the same period of last year.
