NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks fell on Tuesday. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,106, -19.48, -1.73%) fell 1.7% to 1,107. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 562.63, -8.14, -1.43%) fell 1.3% to 563. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 218.59, -2.23, -1.01%) retreated by 1.7% to 217. Crude-oil prices fell 1.6% to $83.43. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA 11,103, -99.45, -0.89%) dropped 84 points, or 0.8%. |
