NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR 56.00, +1.29, +2.36%) said Thursday its third-quarter net income climbed to $93.2 million, or 73 cents a share, from $68.2 million, or 51 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $1.43 billion, from $1.25 billion. Analysts expected earnings of 62 cents a share and revenue of $1.38 billion, according to a survey by FactSet Research. The discount retailer expects fourth-quarter net income of $1.20 a share to $1.27 a share, compared to the Wall Street target of $1.24 a share.
