NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose with the broad market on Thursday. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,119, +20.23, +1.84%) rose 2% to 1,120. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 569.08, +6.49, +1.15%) rose 1.2% to 569. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 224.04, +2.99, +1.35%) rose 1.5%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA 11,147, +139.10, +1.26%) rose 137 points. |
