The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was growing Monday morning on news of the Irish-EU agreement for $100 billion in financial aid.
The price of a December futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up 55 cents to $82.53 a barrel by 7:30 Moscow time. The price of a December futures contract for North Sea Brent blend has risen 58 cents to $84.92 in London.
Oil prices receded last Friday before as China moved to thwart inflation. December WTI contracts were up 34 cents to $81.51 a barrel, while December Brent contracts were up 71 cents to $84.34.
