COLUMBUS (AP) — Prices at Ohio gas pumps have fallen 11 cents going into one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.
A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows Ohio's average price for regular-grade gasoline has gone down to $2.79 a gallon, from $2.90 last Monday.
Nationwide, rising oil prices, a seasonal drop in refinery output and a weaker dollar had all contributed to a 5-cent increase in retail gas prices in the past month. Ohio's average hit a two-year high earlier this month.
Ahead of Thanksgiving last year, the state's motorists paid a lower $2.61 per gallon for regular, on average.
