NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks took different paths in early action on Thursday, depending on the sub-sector. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,287, -4.39, -0.34%) fell 0.3% to 1,288. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 642.41, -0.01, -.00%) traded about flat at 642. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 263.40, -4.91, -1.83%) rose 0.4% to 264. Shares of Transocean (RIG 76.86, +1.07, +1.41%) rose 2% while Repsol (REP 31.62, -0.51, -1.59%) fell 1.7%.
