RTTN: Australian Dollar Jumps To Multi-day Highs Against Euro And Greenback
(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar extended its recent rally versus its major counterparts in early New York trading on Thursday.
The aussie touched a 3-day high of 1.0106 against the greenback and 1.3650 versus the euro around 9:10 am ET.
The Australian dollar is presently trading at 1.01 against the buck and 1.3660 versus the euro with 1.0160 and 1.3520 seen as the next likely upside target levels, respectively.
Against the yen, the aussie breached its broad sideways movements to hit as high as 82.70 before holding steady around 9:15 am ET. The aussie thus gained more than 80 pips from its Asian session's fresh multi-week low of 81.93.
The aussie-yen pair is presently worth 82.64 with 82.90 seen as the next probable resistance level.
Extending its previous sessions' uptrend, the aussie touched 1.3508 against the NZ dollar around 9:20 am ET and this set the highest level for the pair since December 23, 2010.
The aussie-kiwi pair is presently worth 1.3506 and the pair targets resistance level around the 1.3530 and a move above this could set its strongest mark in more than 10 years.
