MW: Coming up: Income, consumer spending in January

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The Commerce Department's report on personal income and consumer spending for January is due for release at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists polled by MarketWatch expect income to rise 0.9% after a 0.4 % increase in December. Consumer spending is forecast to rise 0.4% after a 0.7% gain in the prior month. The core PCE price index, an inflation indicator, likely rose 0.1%, compared to a flat reading in December.
