SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures traded lower Monday, giving up earlier gains in electronic trading as floor trading hours approached. Oil for April delivery (CLJ11 97.05, -0.83, -0.85%) , the front-month contract, was most recently down 69 cents, or 0.7%, to $97.20 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
