FRX: The rise in oil prices brought more losses in Asia
 
Asian stocks fell in the first session of the week as tensions Libya intensified on fears supplies may get affected, fueling worries about a setback in the global economic recovery. The MSCI Asia Pacific fell today by 1.1% to 137.92 at 13:37 in Tokyo, as the yen rose bringing losses to the Japanese exporting companies.
Nikkei 225
Nikkei 225 fell today by 1.76% or 188.64 points closing at 10505.02. From 225 shares, 12 advanced, 209 declined and 4 unchanged. Sectors leading the decline were the industrials that lost 54.56 points and consumer goods that lost 40.39 points.
Lagging shares today Fast Retailing Co Ltd which fell by 3.21% closing at 12270 yen, second was Honda Motor Co Ltd which fell by 3.10% closing at 3435 yen. And Softbank Corp which fell by 1.74% closing at 3390 yen.
Among the shares that Konami CORP topped the list by rising 0.83% closing at 1827 yen, followed by Oki Electric Industry Co Ltd which rose by 13.70% and closing at 83 yen. And Inpex Corp which rose by 1.55% and closing at 588000 yen.
S&P/ASX 200
The S&P/ASX 200 fell today by 1.37% or 66.40 points closing at 4797.90. From 200 companies, 35 shares ended green compared to 161 ending in red and 4 unchanged. Sectors leading the decline were the financials that lost 23.26 points and basic materials that lost 22.09 points.
Lagging shares today include Southesrn Cross Media Group Ltd that retreated 6.13% closing at 1.76 Australian dollars, trailed by carsales.com.au Ltd falling 4.58% closing at 5.00 dollars. And Lynas Corp Ltd that fell 4.55% closing at 2.10 Australian dollars.
Cudeco Ltd inclined the most today as it rose 5.31% closing at 3.37 Australian dollars, followed by ST Barbara Ltd surging 4.69% closing at 2.23 Australian dollars, and Perseus Mining Ltd that surged by 4.33% closing at 3.13 Australian dollars.
Hang Seng
Hang Seng fell today by 0.41% or 95.67 points to close at 23313.19. From 45 companies, 8 rose today, while 35 fell, and 2 unchanged. Sectors leading the decline were the financials that lost 84.29 points and the technology that lost 17.45 points.
Lagging shares today were HSBC Holdings PLC which fell 0.95% closing at 83.10 Hong Kong dollars, and Tencent Holdings PLC falling by 1.99% closing at 216.60 Hong Kong dollars. And Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd falling by 1.26% closing at 125.20 Hong Kong dollars.
Among the shares that advanced CNOOC Ltd topped the list by rising 1.91% closing at 18.16 Hong Kong dollars, followed by China Shenhua Energy Ltd that rose by 3.19% and closing at 34.00 Hong Kong dollars. And China Coal Energy Co Ltd that rose by 1.94% and closing at 11.54 Hong Kong dollars.
