The dollar dropped on Thursday after a report depicted that US first-time jobless claims declined to 388,000 in the recent week.
The dollar index, which measures the U.S. unit against a basket of major currencies, fell 0.27% to 75.91, down from 76.091 in late North American trading on Wednesday. Against the greenback, the euro rose 0.3327%, or $0.0047, to $1.4176, compared with $1.4128 Wednesday.
