MW: Trade gap narrows in Feb as exports, imports fall

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. trade deficit narrowed by 2.6% in February to $45.8 billion, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. The trade deficit was above the consensus forecast of Wall Street economists of a deficit of $42.9 billion. Both imports and exports declined in February. The U.S. trade deficit with China widened to $18.8 billion in compared with $16.5 billion in the same month last year. The government also revised the deficit in January to $47 billion from $46.3 billion.
