ND: Rupee opens up by nine paise to 44.43 per US dollar
After a three-day downslide, the rupee bounced back by nine paise to 44.43 per US dollar in the opening session today owing to capital inflows, dealers at the Interbank Foreign Exchange said.
A minor oscillation was witnessed in the local unit as it registered an intra day high and low of 44.44 and 44.39, respectively, against the US currency.
An improvement was seen in the rupee because of capital inflows and positive equity market also boosted the same, dealers added.
The rupee had depreciated by 19 paise in the last three days.
